Quecreek Mine Rescue Site. Overview of the mine rescue site during the 5th anniversary celebration on July 28, 2007 in Somerset County, Pa. For 77 hours, from July 24-28, 2002, the world’s attention and prayers were with the rescuers and nine miners trapped in the flooded Quecreek Mine until their successful rescue.
