Like many treatments, this video doesn't give balanced coverage. It promotes economic gain but doesn't even mention environmental impacts. One local property in Susquehanna County has had two citations--one resulting in a $375,000 fine for illegal water extraction from a small stream. Wake up, northeastern Pennsylvania! Didn't the environmental insults of the coal age teach us anything? I'm confident that this resource can be exploited in an environmentally responsible way, but don't trust the gas companies to do so [Just ask the landowners who got $2 per acre for their rights and were told they wouldn't be able to get any higher!] unless they are closely monitored by state agencies and property owners. Remember, property owners, it is YOUR land and YOU are ultimately responsible for what happens there!
